Announcement of the retirement of our Executive director

The Carrefour Communautaire Francophone de London (CCFL) is announcing the retirement of its Executive Director, Mrs. Paulette Desjardins, after seven years of inspiring leadership and dedicated service at the head of the organization.
Since her arrival in 2019, Mrs. Desjardins has had a profound impact on the growth and vitality of the Francophone community in our region. Visionary, committed, and deeply compassionate, she has worked tirelessly to strengthen community ties and amplify the voice of Francophones.
Under her direction, the CCFL has experienced remarkable growth, multiplying projects and initiatives in support of Francophone vitality in London and surrounding areas. She notably spearheaded the creation of the Carrefour Ethno-Culturel Francophone, which brings together 11 communities working hand in hand to celebrate diversity and foster inclusion. She also initiated the Carrefour des adultes et des aîné(e)s francophones, a welcoming space promoting inclusion, support, and personal growth for people of all ages.
Her tenure was also marked by structural initiatives in staff and board training, strengthening the organization’s governance and professional capacity. She leaves behind a solid foundation, an enriched network, and a highly motivated team ready to carry forward the mission she so passionately championed.
We express our deepest gratitude to her for her exemplary commitment, infectious passion, and unwavering dedication to the community. She will be greatly missed by her team and by all those who benefit from CCFL’s programs and services. Her retirement, effective March 27, 2026, will mark a significant milestone in the history of our organization.
To ensure a smooth transition, the Board of Directors will be launching an official recruitment process for the Executive Director position in the coming days. We will share details about the hiring process once the posting becomes available.
In the meantime, we once again extend our heartfelt thanks to Paulette for her dedication, professionalism, and outstanding contribution to the community, and we wish her a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.
