The CCFL Announces Appointment of New Executive Director

London, Ontario - Friday, December 12th, 2025

The Board of Directors of CCFL is pleased to announce to the Francophone community the appointment of Mr. Abdoulaye Sako as Executive Director of the Carrefour communautaire francophone de London.

Mr. Sako brings solid experience in program management and service development, acquired notably in the fields of employability, immigration, and continuing education. He also possesses expertise in human resources management, budget monitoring, and partnership relations with private, governmental, and community organizations. His diverse career, including strategic responsibilities in the banking sector and management role as Regional Director at Collège Boréal – London Site, demonstrates his leadership skills and organizational development expertise. He will assume his duties on January 12, 2026.

As stated by Mr. Paul Levac, Chair of the Board of Directors: “Mr. Sako has already collaborated with CCFL, and his in-depth knowledge of community issues, combined with his experience in program management and development, will enable CCFL to continue its mission and vision with dynamism. His ability to mobilize teams, his sense of partnership, and his commitment will contribute to CCFL’s ongoing growth and the quality of its programming and services.”

A transition period is planned between the new Executive Director and the outgoing Executive Director, Ms. Paulette Desjardins, who previously announced her retirement at the end of March 2026.

The Board of Directors sincerely thanks Ms. Paulette Desjardins for her many years of service as Executive Director and wishes her an excellent retirement.
